What you get with every Global Entry application

Every tier includes the same core service. Higher tiers add speed and dedicated support.

1

5-year history forms completed

CBP requires every address you've lived at and every job you've held for 5 years. Our wizard makes this manageable with auto-save and gap detection.

2

Background check paperwork

We handle the criminal history disclosures and immigration questions in plain language, with help text for every question.

3

Interview scheduling

After CBP conditionally approves you, we book your in-person interview at the closest Global Entry enrollment center.

4

PreCheck activation

Your Known Traveler Number works for both Global Entry (international) and PreCheck (domestic) automatically — no separate enrollment.

Pick your speed.

Here's how it works.

Four steps. Most customers complete the first three in under 30 minutes.

1

Eligibility check

We confirm you have a valid passport (required) and answer a few quick questions. No payment yet.

2

Pick your tier and pay

$69 standard or $129 priority (faster interview + dedicated support).

3

Complete the application

Our wizard walks you through 10 sections. The 5-year history is the longest part — we save your progress so you can come back.

4

Conditional approval, then interview

After CBP processes your application (usually 2–4 weeks), you'll get conditional approval. We book your interview, you go in for fingerprints, and you're done.

Common questions

Global Entry. General questions →

Do I really need a passport for Global Entry?
Yes — and it must be valid with at least 6 months remaining. If your passport is expiring, renew it first (we can help with that too). Without a valid passport, CBP won't approve your Global Entry application.
Why does the 5-year history matter so much?
CBP runs a federal background check that cross-references where you've lived, worked, and traveled. Gaps or inconsistencies in your history can flag your application for additional review or denial. Our wizard checks for gaps automatically and alerts you before submission.
How long does the whole process take?
Conditional approval from CBP usually takes 2–4 weeks. Then the in-person interview adds another 2–8 weeks depending on availability at your local enrollment center. Plan for 2–4 months total. Faster tiers help with interview scheduling but the CBP review time is fixed.
What's the criminal history question really asking?
CBP requires you to disclose any arrests or convictions in any country, including charges that were dismissed or expunged. Honesty is critical — they'll find it in the background check anyway, and lying is automatic disqualification. If you have past arrests, we recommend disclosing them with brief context — most non-violent issues don't disqualify you.
Can I get Global Entry if I'm not a U.S. citizen?
Yes — lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders) and citizens of certain partner countries (Argentina, Bahrain, Brazil, Colombia, Germany, India, Mexico, Netherlands, Panama, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, UK) can apply. Our wizard checks your eligibility before you pay.
What happens at the interview?
10–20 minutes. CBP officer reviews your application, takes fingerprints, takes a photo, and may ask a few clarifying questions. Bring your passport and a second form of ID. Once approved, your KTN works immediately for both Global Entry and PreCheck.
