What's the difference between passport renewal and new application?

If your most recent passport was issued in the last 15 years, when you were 16 or older, and is undamaged, you can renew (DS-82). Otherwise, you need a new application (DS-11), which requires an in-person appointment and proof of citizenship like a birth certificate. We prepare both; just pick one when you start.

Can you guarantee a 48-hour turnaround?

Only for our own work. The Urgent Travel tier prepares your application within 48 hours, then our courier agents hand-carry it to the State Department. Our 48-hour guarantee covers our preparation turnaround: from when we receive a complete, error-free application to when your submission-ready package is back to you. Government processing and issuance times are set by the State Department; if we miss our preparation window, we issue a partial refund.

What if my photo gets rejected?

We check every photo against the same rules State uses before you submit, which helps avoid a rejection, though the final decision is the State Department's. If your photo has issues (background not white, glasses, etc.), we tell you exactly what to fix and let you re-upload. Most issues take 2 minutes to fix.

Do I still have to mail in my documents?

For renewals (DS-82): yes, we provide pre-paid return envelopes and clear instructions for what to mail. For new applications (DS-11): you'll need a brief in-person appointment at a Passport Acceptance Facility, but we find available slots near you and help you schedule, and prepare everything beforehand.

What if my passport is lost or stolen?

You'll need to file a DS-64 form to report the loss in addition to the new application. We prepare both forms. Just check the 'lost or stolen' option when you start your application.

Do you help with passport renewals for children?

Yes. Children under 16 can't renew. They always need a new application (DS-11) with both parents present. We provide a separate child-specific wizard that prepares the parental consent forms (DS-3053) when only one parent can attend.
