What you get with every Social Security card replacement

Every tier includes the same core service. Higher tiers add speed and dedicated support.

1

Filled-out SS-5

We pre-fill SSA's Form SS-5 from your wizard answers so you don't transcribe anything yourself. Sign in pen at print time and you're ready.

2

AI application review

Our AI checks your answers against SSA's rejection patterns — name-on-card mismatches, missing parent info, wrong citizenship document — before you mail.

3

Routed to your closest SSA office

We auto-select the field office closest to you for fastest processing. A map shows exactly where your package is going.

4

Pre-addressed shipping label

Print our label, tape it on any envelope, drop at any USPS counter. Ask the clerk for Certified Mail (~$4.85) and you'll have a tracking number.

Pick your speed.

Pick how much we handle. Both tiers include the filled SS-5, AI review, and office routing.

Here's how it works.

Four steps. Most customers complete the first three in under 30 minutes.

1

Answer a few questions

Name, date of birth, parents, citizenship status. Takes about 10 minutes.

2

We route + prep

Our AI selects your closest SSA office, validates your answers, and generates the filled SS-5 PDF plus a pre-addressed shipping label.

3

You sign + mail

Print the SS-5, sign in pen, slip your ID into the envelope, drop at any USPS counter. Ask for Certified Mail to get a tracking number.

4

Track + receive

Mark 'I mailed it' on your dashboard. SSA processes in 10–14 business days and mails your new card to your home address.

Common questions

Social Security Card. General questions →

Does SSA charge for a replacement card?
No. SSA's fee for a routine Social Security card replacement is $0. Our service fee covers the wizard, SS-5 prep, AI review, office routing, and Lost Card Guarantee (if purchased).
What ID do I need to send?
SSA accepts U.S. passport, driver's license, state ID, military ID, employee ID, and a few others. We recommend a secondary ID (passport card, employee ID) rather than your only driver's license — you won't have this ID for 10–14 business days while SSA processes the application.
Will SSA return my original ID?
Yes. SSA mails your original ID back to you separately from the new card, typically within 2–4 weeks. They return it via standard USPS.
How long until my new card arrives?
Most cards arrive within 10–14 business days from the day SSA receives your package. Allow another 3–5 days for USPS transit on both ends. The Lost Card Replacement Guarantee ($29 add-on) covers re-filing at no extra service fee if the card doesn't arrive within 30 days.
Why can't you hand-courier my application to SSA?
SSA's rules require the applicant to personally sign the SS-5 and mail original ID documents. Paid third-party agents aren't permitted to submit on someone's behalf for routine replacements. We do everything legally possible — prep, route, package, track — but the final signature and the drop at USPS is yours.
What's the difference between Smart and Premier?
Smart ($39): you print the SS-5 and shipping label at home, fold them onto your own envelope, drop at USPS. Premier ($89): we mail you a complete kit — printed SS-5, addressed envelope, Certified Mail postage prepaid. Just sign and drop it in the mailbox.
Do you store my Social Security number?
No. We never collect or store any SSN values — not yours, not your parents'. Where SSA's form asks for SSNs, we ask only whether you know them, then leave a blank space on the SS-5 for you to write the number in pen.

Skip the SSA office. Replace your card from your kitchen table.

Tell us your name and ZIP, we'll do the rest. Most customers finish in under 10 minutes.
