How much does the Uganda eVisa cost?

Do I need a yellow fever vaccination for Uganda?

Yes. Uganda requires proof of yellow fever vaccination for all travelers arriving from or transiting through countries with risk of yellow fever transmission. You must carry your International Certificate of Vaccination (yellow card) at the time of entry. This is a health requirement separate from the eVisa.

Can I trek mountain gorillas in Uganda with a tourist eVisa?

Yes. Gorilla trekking permits in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Mgahinga are arranged separately through the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) or licensed tour operators. Your tourist eVisa covers the country entry; you then purchase the gorilla permit ($700 per person per trek as of 2025) directly from UWA or your operator.

How long can I stay in Uganda on a tourist eVisa?

The Uganda tourist eVisa allows a stay of up to 90 days from the date of entry. Extensions beyond 90 days must be applied for in-country at the Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration Control (DCIC) offices in Kampala.
